We finally got out fishing! Breaking in two brand new 250hp outboards for the Hunter. We caught black bass as fast as we could drop those lines. Lots of action! The halibut took a little longer, but it is early season. Even the puppies got in on the action. A little lemon and a lot of chili cilantro butter and we had ourselves a feast!

Lingcod
We can’t wait to get out on the water! The species I am most excited about this season is the mighty lingcod. They may not be pretty. In fact they are quite ugly! But the tender, firm, white, flaky meat is so delicious. We caught many big ones in 2019 and can’t wait for 2020. Most halibut recipes work great substituting lingcod, and here is my favorite.
Midnight Sun!
The days are getting longer and longer up here as we head toward the summer solstice. This is the view of the bridge to the hot tub and sauna. Every direction has a stunning views but especially to the west at night. We are so fortunate to live in such a beautiful place!
My front yard is a work of art!
We are busy getting the lodge ready to go for the summer. There will be a few new things, like dining tables 10 feet apart and extra cleaning protocols, but we are optimistic and excited to get back out on the water! Tight lines!
