Our unguided deer hunts are a far
cry from a drop camp! You stay in a
warm luxury lodge, with outstanding
food. There is electricity and
satellite TV. So after your hunt
each day, you can come in and take a
hot shower, play a game of pool
before dinner and catch Sports
Center afterward on ESPN!
Our guides take deer hunters by boat
each morning to one of the many deer
hot spots where they are dropped off
to hunt on their own or with their
hunting partner. Often deer are
spotted in transit and hunters are
dropped off to stalk a specific
buck.
When you shoot your buck, drag it
downhill to the beach, or if you
have hiked up over the coastal
ridges to take your deer, you can
quarter your deer and pack it out.
It is not difficult because the
deer are plentiful. You can make
the hunt as easy or difficult as you
like. You can sit near the beach at
a good vantage point and wait for a
good buck or you can hike up the
mountainside in search of the one
you want. In late season it is not
unusual to see over one hundred deer
in a day.
One of the nice things about this
hunt is that you gain the added
satisfaction of having done it on
your own. Thus your trophy buck and
the memories will be even more
meaningful.
